Day 1 CALICUT – WAYANAD (3 Hours 100KMS)
On Arrival at Calicut Airport / Railway station, you will be received by our Chauffeur and will proceed to Sultan Bathery. On the way, he will stop for refreshment / Breakfast(optional). Later Visit Edakkal Caves, Phantom Rock, Heritage Museum, Kerala Agri Farm and take a break for Lunch.
Afternoon visit Muthanga Wild Life Sanctuary for one and a half hour Safari. Later visit Jain Temple and back to Hotel. Rest of the day at Leisure. Overnight at Hotel.
Edakkal cave – This location is breath-taking beauty is three kilometres from Ambalavayal which is 25 km. from Kalpetta. The Edakkal cave in the Ambukuthy Mountain is not a cave in the real sense. What makes it a cave to the ordinary observer is the fact that in the other portion of the large cleft, an enormous rock, weighing several tons, has fallen forming a roof over a large part of it. The rock wall contains some interesting carvings, which represent human and animal figures and objects of human use and symbols. These carvings speak of a highly civilized people of pre-historic are and inspires the archaeologists and historians to rewrite the history of Wayanad and Kerala as a whole.
Muthanga Wild Life Sanctuary – Muthanga, which is 16 km. east of Sulthan Bathery is located very near to the Karnataka border. Wild forests covering an area of 345 sq.kms. from the Muthanga Wild Life Sanctuary; the biggest abode of wild animals in Malabar. Elephant, spotted deer, bison, tiger, cheetah, wild bear, etc. are found in this sanctuary. The Forest Department has facilities for providing elephant rides to tourists here.

Day 2 Wayanad Sightseeing ( Full Day)
Post Breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to visit Banasura Sagar Dam, Karlad Lake and Zipline in Karlad lake, Tea Factory visit, Tea Museum Overnight at Hotel.
The Banasura Sagar Dam, which is the largest earthen dam in India and the second largest in Asia, impounds the waters of the Karamanathodu, a tributary of the Kabini river. The reservoir formed by the dam is dotted with tiny islands enveloped in thick foliage, and with the Banasura hill in the background, offers a magnificent view. Go skimming the waters in a speedboat.
Karlad lake is one of the beautiful lakes in Wayanad. It is situated 16 km from Kalpetta. An ideal place for Honeymooners to Wayanad, family tour people and for adventure seekers a must-see destination. Karlad lake is the second largest freshwater lake in Wayanad which is spread over 7 acres of area and also a well-known picnic spot with boating facility.
The famous Banasura Sagar Dam is just a 3 km away from this Karlad Lake. The Karlad Tourism Centre is equipped with a facilitation centre, a couple of tents, maintaining a heritage village etc.
Zip-Line experience in Karlad is one of the best you can get in the Wayanad area. The Zip-line goes all the across the Karlad lake and then they get you back in a boat with a one-way distance of approximately 350 metres. While the inflated Kayaks offers a feel-good experience of rowing a kayak on your own.
Day 3 Wayanad Sightseeing & Drop
Post Breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Visit Pookode Lake, Chain tree, Lakkadi View Point.
Pookot Lake – It is a natural freshwater lake, brimmed with evergreen mountains. The weather here is salacious; the scenic beauty, hypnotising and the nature, unspoiled. Pookot Lake tourist resort in Vythiri is the most sought after tourist spot of Wayanad. There is an aquarium and a greenhouse here. Boating facilities also are available. Spices and handicraft items are also arranged for sale Pookot. The lake has an area of 8.5 ha.and the maximum water depth is 6.5mtrs. This lake is three km. south of Vythiri.
Chain Tree – This Chain tree is located near Vythiri and is 15 km from Kalpetta. This is a large Ficus tree bounded by a long chain. Ficus tree is the official tree of Thailand. Under natural conditions, this tree will grow up to 98 feet. It has swinging branches, silky leaves and small fruit. This small fruit is a favourite food for many birds.
There is an interesting story behind this Chain tree. It is said that one Adivasi youth named Karinthandan helped or guided one British engineer to find the difficult path through the dense forest to Wayanad. But the crooked engineer who wanted to take the full credit of this discovery killed Karinthandan. The angry soul of this Adivasi started troubling travellers who used to visit Wayanad. It is said that one priest chained this angry spirit to this tree.
